The countdown begins...

So I'm officially leaving in 11 days. WOW. Once I just counted that out, that's really scary. Anyway, so I am leaving in 11 days for Quito, Ecuador to spend the quarter studying Public Health and Spanish. I will be living with a host family there and in addition to taking classes at CIMAS in Quito, we will be doing 3 week long field studies, each studying different areas of Public Health. (Tropical disases, Illnesses linked with poverty and tranditional medicines.) I will hopefully be blogging every now and again, although, I do have to warn you, if you've read my brothers blogs from Southeast Asia so far, mine probably won't be near as entertaining or humerous as his. Unfortunately for my parents, now they will have two of us out of the country, their closest child in Everett, WA. Sad. I will be meeting up with my parents and Conor in Costa Rica for my spring break from March 18th-25th. I wish everyone a great start to the new year and look forward to seeing you all upon my return.
